Offering time and space for artistic experimentation. It’s what we’ve been doing for the past 40 years. It’s what we want to keep doing.
Thanks to emergency support from the Amsterdam municipality, a transformation grant from Gieskes-Strijbis fund and our community that thinks and dreams along with us, we’re working on a new sustainable futureproof strategy. As a development-oriented art space we’ll be operating with activities focused on new encounters, building meaningful connections and solidarity. Will you join us?

Become a Supporter! With our Supporters 139 community, we want to create the biggest and most productive artistic support system for artists and their work.
Stichting Supporting W139 was founded in early 2021 with the aim to support W139 by raising private funds, both in financial and social capital. We work – within the core values of W139 – step by step towards a sustainable, energetic and effective model regarding the involvement of a (future) supporting community.
We strive for sustainable relationships with our givers, focusing on creating impact. Supporting aspires to have an active and involved development policy within the organizational structure of W139.
