Heaving Room, initiated by Rustan Söderling, is a group exhibition exploring improvized forms of connection and attachment in a society where shared structures begin to unravel, featuring works by Jame T. Findlay, Michelle Chang Qin, Rosa Klerkx, Bin Koh, John Smith, Rustan Söderling, ​​Dan Walwin, and Andoni Zamora Txakartegi.

Through time-based works, provisional environments and DIY logistics, the exhibition follows makeshift systems to find coherence and connection amid uncertainty: idiosyncratic cataloging, personal rituals, accidental communities, coping mechanisms and other ways to brace uncertainty. The exhibition space will become a temporary holding structure, a waiting room where these different beliefs and behaviours of uneasy alignment briefly mingle.
