Become one of our 139 Friends!

We are looking for exactly 139 people—artists, cultural workers, people of all backgrounds and ages from the W139 community—who want to support us with a donation of €139 per year.

As a 139 Friend, you help protect W139 from the pressures of a transforming city and the current political climate, and ensure that artists can continue to work freely and autonomously.

W139 can only exist with the community as its foundation. Only together we can make extraordinary ideas possible—ideas that take time and whose outcomes aren’t always certain. With your support, W139 can remain a home for experimentation and encounter. Become a 139 Friend!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a group of 139 committed individuals from W139’s support base. These include young and established creators, cultural workers who have previously been involved with W139, and people of all ages and backgrounds who support the organisation – people from the living network behind W139.

How can I participate?

— We are seeking exactly 139 friends.
— As a Friend, you support us annually with €139 (or more).
— Your contribution will be automatically debited.
— As a 139 Friend, you will be invited to special occasions and events. This way, you not only support W139, but you also meet other supporters and help build your and our network.
— 139 Friends form a solid foundation. That is why the names of all supporters are displayed within the walls of W139 – as a permanent manifestation of our community.

In It Together!

The launch of 139 Friends is no coincidence, as it intersects with In It Together!, Dead Darlings’ 20th anniversary. The title of this anniversary edition is not so much an explicit theme as a reminder of Dead Darlings’ origins — a return to their roots and a rallying cry to the community and art lovers around us. It is from this same community that we want to bring 139 Friends together.
