Para-siting: Issue 01: Death / العدد الأول: الموت
From 23 November, we are joined by Al Mahabba Publishing House, for the new Para-siting, Issue 01: Death / العدد الأول: الموت. Manifesting in a group exhibition and zine, it acts as a lament for the many deaths that occur in our day-to-day lives. As we witness and experience the destabilizing effect of large-scale death, we tighten our grip on the things we can see ahead of us: objects and resources, relics of our near-past, small hopes for the near-future. But these small things are also in flux, and can change and die, often leaving a big impact on us because of their connection to something deeper.
Al Mahabba Publishing House is an art collective and alternative publishing initiative founded by Den Haag-based Lebanese artists Jana Assaad and Milo Sharafeddine. Working across text, image, object, and program, they seek to experiment with the format of publication, guided by curiosity to create transformative and collaborative works.
