In this exhibition, the strategies of oppressive regimes and their bodily implications are explored, subverted, \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 and reappropriated through a careful spatial choreography. How does political coercion permeate the personal, infiltrate bodily boundaries, and \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EMIRHAKIN has invited a group of artists to reconfigure the symbols and strategies associated with fear and oppression\u2014holding space to reflect on the erasure of choice, identity, agency, \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 and life within heavily politicized structures. \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 \u2588\u2588\u2588 \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588. Taking shape through video works, archival footage, performances, \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588, sound and light installations, and paintings, the exhibition<em> <\/em>navigates the manufacturing of (cultural) identity, \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588, nationalism, the impact of censorship, and life under authoritarian regimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Informed by \u2588\u2588\u2588 personal experiences as a \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 in \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588, EMIRHAKIN\u2019s practice \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 and visualizes the personal, emotional, and physical consequences of (self-)censorship while simultaneously paving a pathway for vulnerability and resilience. In a recurring part of the programme, EMIRHAKIN reflects on the \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 and \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 of \u2588\u2588\u2588 life under suppression\u2014delving deeper into the ideological construct of masculinity that profoundly influenced his \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588 and \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Witnessing the rise of the right-wing and its effect on the freedom of expression, <em>Remarkable Meetings with Disgusting Men<\/em> invites you to traverse the complexities of contemporary political realities, in the shadows of systems of \u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588\u2588, manipulation, commodification, and racialization.
